Can New Zealand Become The First Dark Sky Nation

New Zealand currently has three accredited dark sky sites – Aoraki Mackenzie International Dark Sky Reserve, Great Barrier Island Dark Sky Sanctuary and the Stewart Island/Rakiura Dark Sky Sanctuary.

About 120 delegates will attend the conference, talking about light pollution and the benefits of a nation-wide approach to dark sky accreditation.

Christchurch named New Zealand’s friendliest city

Christchurch has been ranked as New Zealand’s friendliest city.

The garden city was only New Zealand city ranked in the Big 7 travel poll. The poll looked around places where people are most comfortable and welcome. Big 7 website said that Christchurch local's are being resilient and has a positive attitude. 

The survey found that Vancouver was the friendliest city in the world, followed by Kuala Lumpur, Bruges in Belgium, Taipei, Hamburg and Dublin.

Prime Minster Jacinda Ardern Went on South Pacific Tour.

The Prime Minster Jacinda Ardern went on a South Pacific tour and is directly overseas visiting Samoa and the New Zealand territory of Tokelau.

This trip is part of the New Zealand Government’s Pacific Reset strategy.It is the first trip to Tokelau by a NZ prime minister since 2004. 
While she is there she has to meet with the village councils and women committees. 
Kris Faafoi, New Zealand’s first cabinet minister of Tokelauan descent is also taking part in the visit.

Silver Ferns won Netball World Champions

New Zealand net ball team(the Silver Ferns)won the world champions to
 Australia by 52 to 51 points.

Silver Ferns had been the worlds champions since 2003 and on.
This  means that New Zealand has now won the title 5 times.

Australia did their best to fought against New Zealand and won 3 goals but New Zealand did enough to hang on.
