I used a pencil to sketch and a ruler to make a full size working drawing of my box.

Step 2
I used a ruler to copy  the measurements from my drawing onto the paper.

Step 3
I marked a square line at (90 degrees) across by using a trisquare.

Step 4
I then cut off the first piece of wood by using a saw .

Step 5
I then cut out the joints by using a chisel.

Step 6
I put a peace of wood on the joint and glued it in.

Step 7
I then waited 30 minutes for it to dry so then Mr Grundy stuck a peace of thin wood to the side of my project using glue.

That was the last step for my project but I had more to do. But time was over and Mr Grundy said he will finish it of.

Wellington Fittest City

Wellingtonians walk more and often use public transport.
In Wellington it has been crowned NZ's fittest city and I think it's because it has a lot of hills for people to run up and down from.

People say they voted for Wellington because it's hills are good for running which also helps with their health. People also say their so lucky to live in a active and healthy place.

I have chosen to make a jewellery box for myself .
I think this is the best choice for me because my sister sometimes plays with my things and usually ends up breaking it.
It will be used to hide my jewellery in it and it will be used at home.
For this project I will have to consider how to get my measurements as accurate as possible.

Picking Up Rubbish To Save The Environment

Yesterday On Monday 1 of July the whole school of Ruapotaka went down to the Tamaki Estuary. Freaza and his team was telling us how we can save the environment and experiencing how birds can die from plastic and rubbish that are chucked around the sea.

We picked up rubbish around Tamaki Estuary and found some rubbish and news papers under the rocks and all the way to the park.

We finished picking up the rubbish and we sat down the next to the park and ate our lunches. After we ate our lunches we went and played at the park for few minutes and head of back to school.
